Also,the clay ensures carbon does not simply escape during this process.After the clay process,heat treating the blade,then quickly water quenching to make the edge(coated with a thin layer)cool faster,while the spine(coated with a thick layer) cools slower.Thus,what began an unavoidable consequence of the process was,a beautiful real Suguha Hamon was appeared on the blade(quenching and tempering),turn into a mark of creativity and an art of beauty.The way to make the Suguha Hamon require a rich experience and hard job to apply the clay and contol the temperature when quenching by Dremsword.Bo-hi (blood groove) is added to each side of the blade,lighten the blade,also balance it to achieve optimal performance.
