-The katana sword was fully hand forged,hand shaping,hand polishing in the most traditional sword making method. The blade is made of folded steel with full clay tempered laminated in Maru structure and come with a full length Tang greatly enhances the strength of the sword while swung.The folded steel was result from1095 high carbon steel which were smelted and pounded to fold 13 times to creat 8192 layers to greatly enhance the hardness and flexibility of the blade. A special different thicknesses of clay has been applied to the edge and spine(back) of the blade respectively to control the rate at which the blades cools when quenching,turn into a harder edge and softer back.A beautiful real hamon was appeared on the blade(quenching and tempering).This blade has no bo-hi (blood groove) which can enhance its strength and cutting power.The blade has been full hand polished by the most traditional japanese methods which is good enough for test cutting,such as bamboo/ tree/tatami mats/ water bottles,etc.
